Lead-free computer module from the new player in the Embedded Market

conga-EVEGA is ETX® compatible and based on the STPC VEGA, with USB 2.0

Deggendorf, Feb. 23, 2005 - congatec AG announced its new, fully ETX® compatible, embedded computer module at the Embedded World show in Nürnberg.

conga-EVEGA is an ETX® compatible embedded computer module with a performance class similar to the Intel® Pentium® II. STmicroelectronics's Processor STPC® VEGA is unique due to its low power consumption and lead-free design (RoHS compliant). Many computer modules currently on the market in this particular performance class will no longer be available after July 2006 because of their non-compliance to RoHS.

The conga-EVEGA is equipped with onboard USB 2.0 interfaces, which is unusual for a module in this performance class. This feature allows for high data transmission performance.

Due to its very low power consumption of less than 5 Watts, the conga-EVEGA is ideal suitable for fanless and mobile applications.

The Integrated graphics controller from Silicon Motion supports independent dual view and is able to recognize the connected display automatically. It can control almost every available display on the market. The graphics signals are distributed through LVDS or digital flat panel interface, TV-Out and the analog VGA channel.

The congatec embedded BIOS and the integrated congatec board controller work together to provide countless embedded add-on features. APM power management, multistage watchdog timer, high speed I²C Bus and the ability to access product manufacturing data and/or statistical data are just few examples of these features.

The conga-EVEGA offers all this for a quantity base price of approximately 100 Euros.
