The integration of AMD Embedded R-Series APU expands the COM Express standard with a new module that combines power efficient high-performance x86 processing, unprecedented integrated graphics performance and high performance parallel processing support.


The conga-TFS enables multimedia advancements and an exceptional visual experience across applications.

congatec currently offers three variants of the AMD R-Series APU on the conga-TFS ranging from the dual-core AMD R-272F APU up to the quad-core AMD R-464L APU.. The conga-TFS uses the AMD A70M Controller Hub to deliver a powerful compact 2-chip solution with support for up to 16GB dual-channel 1600MHz DDR3 memory.


the integrated graphics core supports DirectX ® 11 and OpenGL 4.2 for fast 2D and 3D graphics. The third generation hardware Unified Video Decoder offers seamless processing of H.264, VC-1, MPEG4 Part 2 and MPEG2 video streams. The conga-TFS offers a choice of graphics interfaces including VGA, 18/24bit single/dual channel LVDS as well as three DisplayPort 1.2, one HDMI 1.4 and two Single link DVI interfaces enabling the direct control of three independent displays.

Software developers can take advantage of APU programmability through proven standards such as Direct Compute (Microsoft) and OpenCLTM. And the portability of OpenCL allows programmers to preserve their expensive source code investment across multiple product generations. OpenCL is a powerful programming environment with which computing tasks can be distributed across a variety of architectures involving a various number of hardware compute units.
